Cookie Policy

This page explains which cookies and similar technologies the LPFA website uses. In short: the website uses no cookies and stores nothing on your device, so no consent banner is shown.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. Similar technologies include the browser's local storage (localStorage, sessionStorage, IndexedDB), tracking pixels and embedded third-party content.

What this website uses

CategoryUsedExplanation
Strictly necessary cookiesNoThe website has no user accounts or log-in; the language is set by the address (/lv/ or /en/)
Authentication and session cookiesNoThe public website has no administration area
Analytics cookiesNoNo visitor statistics are collected
Marketing and advertising cookiesNoNo advertising or retargeting tools are used
Third-party trackers and embedded contentNoFonts, images and scripts are loaded only from this website; the map link (OpenStreetMap) opens an external site only when you click it
Local storage (localStorage, sessionStorage, IndexedDB)NoThe website's scripts write nothing to it

What the website's scripts do. The small scripts (/js/site.js and /js/membership-form.js) run the menu, the news and media filters and the membership application. Filter choices are kept only in the page address. After you submit an application, the filled form (PDF, DOCX) is created in the browser's memory for download and disappears when you close the page. Nothing is stored on your device.

Server logs. The hosting provider Netlify, Inc. processes technical data needed to serve each request (for example the IP address) in its server logs. These are not stored on your device and are not cookies; see the Privacy Policy. Netlify cookies that are set only for split testing (nf_ab) or for user log-in (nf_jwt) are not used on this website.

Consent

Under Article 7.1 of the Latvian Information Society Services Law (which implements Article 5(3) of the EU ePrivacy Directive), consent is required for storing or accessing information on a user's device unless it is strictly necessary to provide the service; where personal data is processed, the GDPR also applies. Because this website stores nothing on your device, no consent is required and no cookie consent banner is shown. If non-essential cookies (such as analytics) are introduced in the future, they will be activated only after you consent, the website will let you accept, reject or customise them and change your choice at any time ("Cookie settings"), and this policy will be updated.

Managing cookies

You can view, delete or block cookies and site data in your browser settings; this does not affect this website.
